Argentina
Despite increasing inflation and manufacturing costs, the Argentinean pharmaceutical industry has managed to keep drug prices low. In order to increase affordability and maintain growth, the government decided to provide a discount of 30% across 600 various drugs.
The effort was very successful, so demand has continued to rise significantly. Generally, the Argentinean pharmaceutical market is dominated by local players that hold a 55% share (leading companies are Roemmers and Bagó). Nevertheless, the demand for innovative and niche products in Argentina creates big opportunities in this promising market.
